The two nations, Kurds and Turks, have been living together for many years in several parts of Urmia province in Iran’s Kurdistan.
This coexistence has led to kinship and causal relations. Since then, the suppression of the governments of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kurdistan by the dictatorial regime of Pahlavi II, the main policy of the regimes in Iran and the occupiers of Azerbaijan and Kurdistan has been to intensify national and ethnic disputes between these neighbouring nations.
After the revolution of 1978, the Islamic government has increased its efforts to deepen the gaps by using the religious differences of the people of this region.

In recent years, anti-Kurdish sentiments among Azerbaijani Turks have raised , even some of the anti-Kurdish sentiments are being perpetrated under the pretext of Kurdish liberation struggles, while Kurdish liberationism certainly benefits the Iranian Azari community.
Unfortunately, Urmia has been the scene of aggression and occupation by local rulers and foreign agents against the residents and owners of the area for years.
At the same time, the brutal occupiers have pursued a policy of demographic change, assimilation, and denying the owners of the Kurdish region one after the other.
By settling non-indigenous people, they have tried to continue their destructive policies and ignored their consequences.
With the Shiite religious insight of the theocratic regime , as well as the continuation of some of the policies of the Pahlavi regime in support of the Turkish-speaking minority settled in Urmia, the clerical regime is accelerating its majority in Urmia, Naqadeh, Salmas, Khoy, Mako and Miandoab and small towns in this region.

In this effort, it has been possible to confiscate the regions and in practice the administrative and military sector of these areas have been changed into an opportunity to increase the Turkish population in these areas.
Of course, the issue does not end here, and today there are whispers about changing the urban fabric by replacing the Azeri’s in the city of Mahabad.
Today if you travel to the villages of Ghoshchi, Qarabagh, Najafabad, Gurchin and Qala as a Kurd, you should know that Kurds will not be allowed to enter these areas to buy property because of the fanatical nationalist mentality inherited from their predecessors. Regions affiliated with them, such as Mullah Hassani, Qureshi, Qazi-e-Poor, and IRGC leaders, are still continuing their destructive policies.
The Kurdish nation has lived a peaceful and fraternal life with the Turks and other minorities living in Urmia province over the past years, and they have supported each other in difficult historical stages.
Our agreement between the Democratic Republic of Kurdistan under the leadership of Judge Mohammad and the Republic of Azerbaijan under the leadership of Pishevari in 1944 has been the result of the peaceful coexistence between the two nations.
During its legal struggles in the region, the Kurdistan Liberation Movement (KLM) has always emphasized the need to maintain this peaceful life, denying any tensions and ethnic divisions in this part of Kurdistan, and calling for peace and mutual respect among all ethnic groups.
The Kurdish people have consistently opposed the divisive conspiracies and policies of the enemies of reconciliation and freedom, and have suffered the most in this regard.
As you know, the ruling regime in Iran, both during the monarchy and during the dictatorial regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has always followed the policy of “divide and rule” and through some factors and institutions of repression and security in this province, has tried to establish anti-Kurdish tendencies among Azeris, and all the regime’s actions have been aimed at expanding this strategic and security project. Thoroughly, the regime wants to expand its policy of controlling, militarizing and further suppression of Kurdistan and suppress any liberal voice of the legitimate movement.
As the Kurdish liberation movement begins to assert its right to self-determination, the regime seeks to annihilate the Kurdish people in the region by using some naive heirs of the region’s masters and peasants and organizing them in armed groups under the name “Kurdish Muslim Myrmidons.” aiming to defeat the Kurdish nation in the territory.
After the reduction of the armed activities of the Kurdistan Movement, the regime also changed its tactics, but maintained its strategy in the region. Whenever the Kurdish people were needed to maintain the existence of the country, they were called “the zealous Kurds and the brave border guards”, though other times they were known as the “Supporters of arrogance, villains and counter-revolutionaries” ,and they have been suppressed and executed under various pretexts.

The regime has tried to create divisions between the two nations by publishing books, pamphlets, tracts, and letterheads that are designed, published, distributed by the Iranian regime’s security repressive institutions, trying to crack down and spread anti-Kurdish propaganda.

For years, the mutual enemy of the Kurds and Turks, which is the current regime of Iran, and the group and the agents affiliated with the security institutions of this regime have been trying to wage this unintended war and incite discord between the two nations, but the Kurdish liberation movement and the two aware nations of the Kurds and the Turks have not left the sinister tricks of this system and the factors related to it unanswered, and they have always emphasized the peaceful life and reconciliation and equality between all the tissues and strata of this province.
However, what we mean is the regime’s immoral policies to survive and legitimize its own unprincipled policies, each of which, under various pretexts, conducts ridiculous and dramatic elections in which each dictatorship seeks to identify its own system. It is also trying to ignite a divisive fire in the ridiculous election.
In this election, in the cities of Kurdistan, especially in mixed cities, such as Urmia, in the so-called village council elections, the members of parliament, whether elected by Sunni Friday Imams or the board of trustees of mosques or recruiting in government agencies, especially political, security and military institutions, Urmia is fundamentally different from other cities in Iran.
Since 1960s, the regime has tried to increase tensions between the two nations by heating up the regime and the electoral scene through bringing in prominent figures and agents affiliated with the regime’s security agencies among the Kurdish and The Azeri.
Despite the fact that Kurdish MPs have been elected to parliament several times in the past, they have never sought the demands of the Kurdish people, and poverty is evident in the Kurdish areas of Urmia.
In the selections of governmental and military organs, the Kurds are never trusted, and if they are selected, they will be appointed only in the lower ranks.

The view of the province’s system and administrators towards the Kurds in Urmia province is a security view, and they have never taken any action in demanding the rights of the Kurds. Even the debts in the constitution of the Islamic Republic in Urmia do not include the Kurds.
But in the 11th term of the parliament, despite the comprehensive sanctions and unprincipled policies of the regime in the region, the world and inside the country, self-repression and optional executions , killing of the movers, massacre of more than four thousand protesters in November, explosion of the Ukrainian plane and …the difference of opinion between the foreign opposition over the election or the boycott of the regime’s policies is the only factor or excuse to increase tensions between Kurds and Turks. Unfortunately as we have encountered, some people in the region used the same trick to go to the polls and insulted the sanctity of the Kurdish nation, the Kurdish parties and even the history of the Kurds through Turkish-language media, including “Urmia Sesi”.

Silence was no longer allowed, alas, no voice was heard from the Kurds. The demands of the Kurdish people were not met despite the fact that the parliament was not at the top and the bottom of the affairs of the parliament. Promises that were absurd and not within the authority of the parliament can be clearly heard through the candidates’ words, dictated by the repressive institutions to draw some of the Kurds of Urmia to the ballot box.

At the same time, they tried to intimidate people by cutting off subsidies.
Students will be dealt with in educational centres if they do not have a stamp in the ID card.

Extremist nationalism originated from Ataturk’s fascism, the Kurdish people, willingly or unwillingly, went to the polls with different faces and indicators to prove their existence, unaware that any vote to establish a murderous regime serves as the policy of genocide and recognition of the crimes of the regime, especially Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
But the conscious people of Azerbaijan should never want to stir up these tensions. It is the regime’s policy to marginalize the Kurds in the administrative
posts of the province, to try to stir up divisions and deny the Kurdish identity of this province and to change the social fabric and demographics. This region has, of course, no doubt that marginalizing the Kurds from power has no effect on the Kurdish identity of Urmia province, because if this policy was responsible, then certainly Urmia and its province would no longer be Kurdish, because Reza Khan Pahlavi had followed the same policy .
Therefore, this is the policy that the enemies of the Kurds have relied on for years, but it has never been able to negatively affect the will of the Kurds to fight, identify and seek peace, and this struggle will continue until it achieves its ideals of liberation from oppression, peace and freedom. Peaceful life will run among all the tissues and strata of society.

The key to success and the best way to deal with this conspiracy and the demagoguery of the Islamic Republic is the national consciousness and unity of Kurdistan, Azerbaijan and other Iranian nationalities against this regime.
The Kurdish people have never been at enmity with the people of Azerbaijan or other nations, but the Kurds are the enemy of the oppressive and repressive policies of this dictatorial regime that violates our human and national rights and those of other nations in Iran.
Dealing with the sinister policies of this occupying regime and its affiliated groups and maintaining a peaceful life, always with reconciliation and equal rights and cultural achievements and blends between the social contexts of this province, solidarity and unity, are the main duties of parties, groups and two nations of Kurdish and Azerbaijani.
