Chop a hand off; ISIS and Iran

This article is a brief comparisson between Islamic State(ISIS) and Islamic regime of Iran.

There are a lot of similarities between Islamic governments because of motivating motor behind the governors’ minds; Quran and prophet Muhammad’s behaviour which form Islamic ideology. At the first glance it could be easily seen the close propinquity between ISIS and Islamic regime of Iran.

Similarities between Islamic regime of Iran and ISIS

How ISIS came to be

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has emerged from radical Sunni jihadists in Iraq who fought under the banner “al-Qaeda” in Iraq. Their goal since being founded in 2004 is to create a hardline Islamic state crossing over the borders of Syria and Iraq. Principally, Isis is the product of a genocide that continued unabated as the world stood back and watched. It is the illegitimate child born of pure hate and pure fear.

How Islamic regime of Iran was born

One of the most dramatic changes in government in Iran’s history was seen with the 1979 Iranian Revolution where King Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was overthrown and replaced by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Autocratic monarchy was replaced by an Islamic regime based on the principle of rule by Islamic jurists, where clerics serve as head of state and in many powerful governmental roles.

Let’s compare both regimes at their very beginnings: The most specified resemblance between ISIS and Islamic regime of Iran is fighting for Islam on a global scale. Both ISIS and Iran’s Islamic regime are driven by a vision of global Islamization and a strict adherence to “Sharia” law. ISIS’s version of Islam is Sunni and is focused on Iraq/Syria for now but their call is for a global uprising of Muslims all over the world and a return to a purer form of Islam from the days of the Prophet. Khomeini on the other hand, strongly supported the spread of Islam throughout the Non-Muslim countries. He says: “We shall export our revolution to the whole world. Until the cry ‘There is no god but Allah’ resounds over the whole world, there will be struggle”. He also says: “Establishing the Islamic state world-wide belongs to the great goals of the revolution”. As a matter of fact, it has been their dream to conquer all Non-Muslim countries. The idea of spreading Islam all over the world which is a fundamental characteristic of Islam has never vanished among it’s followers over the time. 38 years after Islamic revolution in Iran there can be seen another Islamic group which heads to spread it globaly; ISIS.

Spread hatered among people, Imaginary enemies-an important strategy.

No Morality, No honor:

Both regims had their reign started with terror and molest. Having stabilished their Islamic government, they have done most hedious immoral deeds in the history of man. Here are some examples: Accourding to Iran Human Right Documentation Center reports, Revolutionary Guard (Sepah) members raped a girl in a solitary cell in 1982. Amnesty reported that “She was forced to undress and submit to oral and anal sex”.

Beginning in 1985, United Nations Special Representatives to Iran issued regular reports documenting allegations of sexual violence and rape in prisons. In a 1987 report, the Special Representative noted that six sympathizers of the People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran testified about experiencing and witnessing many forms of torture, including sexual abuse, in Iranian prisons. One woman, Mina Vatani, reported that she witnessed seventy persons being executed in Evin prison in early 1982, and that the victims included pregnant women and women who had been raped before being executed.

Children as young as 13 were hung from cranes, in a barbaric two-month purge of Iran’s prisons on the direct orders of Ayatollah Khomeini, according to a new book by his former deputy.

In 2009, after presidential election protests in Iran some detainees were forced to go naked, crawl on their hands and knees like animals, with prison guards riding on their backs. Others were forced to lie naked, on top of one another. When it’s about how to behave a foreigner guest acording to international standards, they are totally unfamiliar with it. After the former King’s fall down in Iran, raiots took power and commenced seizing all high profiled individuals including civilians and even diplomats. 52 American diplomats and citizens were held hostage for 444 days after a group of Iranian students belonging to the “Muslim Student Followers of the Imam’s Line”, who supported the Iranian Revolution, took over the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. President Jimmy Carter called the hostages “victims of terrorism and anarchy”. There has been the same sequel for foreign hostages captured by ISIS.

Massacre, ABC of both regims

Both regims prefer to kill opposers than negotiation.

More than 30,000 political prisoners were executed in the 1988 massacre. Because of the large numbers of necks to be broken, prisoners were loaded onto forklift trucks in groups of six and were hung from cranes.

The Chain Murders or Serial Murders which were a series of 1988-98 murders and disappearances of certain Iranian dissident intellectuals who had been critical of the Islamic regime system by Iranian government internal operatives. ISIS also have had massacre in his workbook: The genocide of Yazidis. The genocide led to the abduction of Yazidi women and massacres that killed thousands of Yazidi civilians. Either of regimes hand has not been inattentive to the opposing individuals living outside of their borders: Dr. ghassemlou; former leader of PDKI, Dr. Sharafkandi; the Secretary-General of PDKI, Fereydoun Farrokhzad; singer, actor, poet, TV and radio host and writer and many more terrors to be said.

Social media accounts of the ISIS militant group have called for their affiliates in Europe to kill the Danish girl who fought against them, placing a one-million-dollar bounty on her.

Abusing human rights

Both regimes implement Islamic law known as “Sharia”, benighted orders that doesn’t ever fit to contemporary human rights.

Iran punishes extra-marital relations between men and women as “Zina”, and proscribes sharia law punishments including execution for adulterers. Hanging is Iran’s preferred punishment and is at times done in public squares with cranes but other ways of killing may be practiced by authorities. In 2013, at least ten people were sentenced to death by stoning. Cutting off the hands of prisoners as well as lashes, Hijab, etc. are another Sharia laws being done by Islamic regime of Iran authorities. Ahmed Shaheed and Asma Jahangir reports reveals important parts of Iran’s dirty hands. See also “Iran’s execution of juvenile offenders draws concern of UN rights expert”.  ISIS also obeys Sharia law and all of those actions above have been done by them so far.

The enmity against women, Non-Muslioms, musics, ancient monuments

The Islamic regime of Iran has shown infinite sense of abhore against women who are reluctant to their savagery and barbaric rules. Iranian women do NOT have right to choose their own clothings, they can’t go to stadiums, they can’t sing, they can’t travel abroad without their husband’s permition, they are simply prisoned under Hijab in a large prison named Iran. As an example, 10 women were sentenced to death and hanged in Shiraz, Iran because of their membership in the Bahá’í Faith in June 18, 1983. The same goes for women living in the area under ISIS control.

Every part of Iranian history and art which declines from Islamic ideology is doomed to death and/or be forgotten.  Members of Iran’s diaspora community tell the tale of Ayatollah Sadegh Khalkhali mounting a bulldozer in 1979 and attempting to destroy “Persepolis”. The story represents the Islamic Revolution as having brought to an end a renaissance in the preservation and appreciation of Iran’s cultural heritage. More reports on systematic attempts to destroy Iran’s historical heritage by Mullahs governing Iran can be found on “The Circle of Ancient Iranian Studies” website.

ISIS members on the other hand, have copied methods of their big brother; Islamic regime in Iran even to a more extend. Deliberate destruction and theft of cultural heritage has been conducted by the ISIS since 2014 in Iraq and Syria. Between the fall of Mosul in June 2014 and February 2015, ISIS has plundered and destroyed at least 28 historical religious buildings. Valuable items from some buildings were looted in order to smuggle and sell them to finance ISIS activities.

                    Islamic revolution- Iran-1979                                  Iraq-ISIS-2014

The major difference that can be mentioned is their policy and the way they show themselves off to the whole world. Iranian governors are extremely crafty and cunning to camouflage their hedious corrupted deeds under a veneer of respectability and adherence to the international human right rules. A useful article about The National Iranian American Council (NIAC) founded by Trita Parsi and Aatieh data processor firm which is notorious for being a conduit for racketeering, bribery and money laundering, mainly for corrupt Iranian rulers can be found in https://iransnews.wordpress.com
