Arresting the people in Kurdistan, Ahwaz and Baluchistan is not a new event in Iran, but recently increased more than before.

Currently he UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, Asma Jahangir, has published the second report of her tenure, covering the period January 1 – June 31, 2017. Despite obstacles posed by the Iranian government’s “considerably reduced rate of reply” to the Special Rapporteur’s queries (18 of 21 communications went unanswered) and an “extremely disturbing” level of fear (including of reprisals against loved ones living inside the country) among those who have tried to communicate with the Special Rapporteur, the report draws on information from a number of expert and civil society sources. But the Iranian regime had no pay attention to this voices and violence, discrimination, assassination and arresting in Kurdistan, Al- Ahwaz and Baluchistan is continuously continues.

During the last eight months of 2017,  more than 350 Kurdish people have been arrested in different towns in Iranian Kurdistan, this high level started in the last two years. First, after “Rasan”, the Kurdish new period of military operations in Iranian Kurdistan takes their freedom. Secondly, in the last two months, after shootings at Khomeini’s tomb and Parliament.”

In June, 7 2017, the data proved that this attack was a joke, the regime started a new period of arrests and executions in Kurdistan, Baluchistan and also Al Ahwaz. In this two period of arresting in Iranian Kurdistan based on clear data, more than 800 Kurdish people in Iranian Kurdsitan have been arrested.

Ever since the creation of Iran as a nation-state in the aftermath of the First World War, the central government has employed policies to oppress, suppress, marginalise, assimilate, and discriminate against the country’s non-Persian nationalities. These targeted minority groups include the Kurds, Al-Ahwazi Arabs, Turkmen, and Baluch, among others living within Iran’s borders.

This systematic method from Iran regime is not new and begun from the day first that the Molla’s regime begun in Iran.

In a speech on 17 December 1979, Khomeini called the concept of ethnic minority contrary to Islamic doctrines. He also accused those who do not wish Muslim countries to be united in creating the issue of nationalism among minorities. His views were shared by many in the clerical leadership.

In mid-August, without sufficient preparations and regardless of army’s advice, the Revolutionary Guard marched on the Kurd-held town of Paveh, falling into a major ambush. The defeat prompted Khomeini to approach the heads of the army and the government. The new Iranian Islamic leadership had little patience for Kurdish requests and opted for crushing unrest through military means. As a result, Khomeini, the new religious leader of Iran, declared a jihad (holy struggle) and a fatwa (religious edict) against the Iranian Kurds and key Kurdish nationalist figures were declared “enemies of the state”, like Ghassemlou, in his statement on August 17, 1979 The government then began a three-week campaign to clear out Kurdish strongholds, mainly Saqqez and Mahabad.

On August 20, 1979, the Iranian army started the Siege of Mahabad. By August 30 it was reported they had managed to completely surround the city and three days of negotiations started. After this failed, Iranian forces invaded the city on September 3 backed by F-4 fighter jets and over 100 tanks. Backed also by artillery power, they managed to seize control of the town after just several hours of fighting. The defeat in Mahabad was a major blow to the Iranian Kurds, and afterwards Iranian forces continued to march on the smaller town of Baneh. Over 500 people were killed during the siege.

Some more information’s about human right situation in Iranian Kurdistan:

Also Sahar chouini, Sheyda Hatami, Shilan Roushandel, seyran Majidi, are Kurdish university students, who have been killed in university.

Execution of Kurds, Baluchis and Arabs in Iran is a political action, an act done to physically suppress them. In eight months, more than 53 of Kurds, in Iranian Kurdistan, have been executed in different prisons. The number of killed victims is certainly higher than those previously announced.
