Yezidis Call for Special Operations to Free Their Abductees in Mosu

According to the information of Yezidi officials, there were 1,200 Yezidi abductees in East Mosul

ROJIKURD: Yezidi community in Sinjar called on the Iraqi forces to conduct special operations for rescuing the Yezidi abuctees in Mosul.

Mahma Khalil, the Mayor of Sinjar district, stated that according to their information, there were 1,200 Yezidi abductees in East Mosul and after liberating it none of them were found. He called for special operations to free their abductees from the grip of the Islamic State (IS) militants in Mosul.

Speaking: Khalil said “after losing the eastern part of Mosul, the IS terrorists have moved many Yezidis to Tal Afar town.”

He said they had information about the presence of 1,200 Yezidi abductees including girls, women and children in East Mosul, but none of them were found after the operation ended.

He added that only Kurdistan Regional Government, particularly the prime minister’s office is endeavoring to rescue the Yezidis, blaming the international community for not doing anything in regards of freeing the abducted Yezidis.
